The leagues application to the FA for a rule change to make the GCGFL a girls only league has been rejected. This is due to the FA using the Equality Act 2010 to allow girls to play in boys teams and leagues, therefore it is unable to use the same legislation to make a league a girls only league by not allowing make players to register in the GCGFL.

A letter has been sent to the GFA by the chairman of the league about the issues the league are experiencing with the registration of male players and the  proposals of the league for the GFA to consider. A copy of the letter can be found in document downloads.

The all managers season briefing will take place at 7:30pm at a Hucclecote Community Centre, Hucclecote Road, Gloucester. All team managers and coaches need to attend this important briefing for the season ahead.

The GCGFL will be represented by members of the league at the FA Community Shield between Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC at Wembley Stadium. As winners of the South West Regional Charter Standard League of the year 2015 we have been put forward for the National award. The winners of the National award will be announced at Wembley on Sunday 2 August 2015.

The Gloucester County Girls Football League were nominated for the Gloucestershire FS Charter Standard League of the year for season 2015/16. At the awards ceremony at GFA HQ the league were announced winners of the GFA award but also were announced winners of the South West Region Charter Standard League of the year!

New Clubs accepted into the league
